I'm not really sure, but maybe the actual length of time doesn't even matter because it's the quality of your life and your relationships that really makes a difference. How many moments do you recreate in your head over and over? And how many bring smiles to your face or make you laugh?
I'd say I was pretty lucky over the last three years.

Three years can be long or short depending on who you're with and what you're doing. If you were stuck on an island with a guy who kept talking about his job back in civilization and he worked a desk job, then that would be a painfully long 3 years. In our case, it's been a quick 3 years because we've had so much fun :)
