And the next thing I know...it's September again...

September's always a crazy time of year. After 20 years of having to go "back to school" during this particular month, I don't think I'll ever be able to get rid of the feeling that I have to face the first day of school. I've been out 4 years and I still put a great divide between Labour Day and The Day After Labour Day. It's weird.

A Summary of My Summer...Before Labour Day

July and August went by very quickly. I went to a family friend's wedding, happily took an eager Shaky to see Shakespeare in the Park, went on a few fishing trips and got my share of strange suntan marks, got stuck in traffic for three hours (Mississauga to York U) and almost missed an amazing tennis match between Justine Henin-Hardenne and a 16-year-old up and comer, played a crazy Japanese drinking game at Killbear, took a great French language course with Hed Candi and got mistaken as Frosh when visiting Waterloo with friends (thanks, I appreciate that younger guys think that we still look young).

September and Beyond...After Labour Day

As I was saying, September is jam-packed! (After much frustration) I've finally got tickets in my hands for the Toronto International Film Festival, I'm going to visit Shaky's extended family in Washington DC tomorrow (nerve-wracking!), I'm taking another French course with Hed Candi, I'm going to the opera in October (missed out on Les Mis) and I've got black-out days like I'm an airline because work is going to be crazy this fall. So, I've pretty much got the next four months mapped out. It's strange, knowing what you're going to do so far in advance. On the one hand, I feel like I'm organized and that makes me feel like I've got it together. On the other, I feel like I just want to go back to being a kid and just taking it a day at a time, being carefree and living in the moment!

Miscellaneous

Arrested Development is the funniest show ever! If you haven't watched it, you should. AND Rockstar INXS is the best reality music show ever! It's so much better than American Idol.
