I'm amazed at how seasonal merchandise is sold at stores earlier and earlier each year. For instance, stores seem to have merged back-to-school supplies with Halloween candy, while Santa Claus and all of his merry tidings have arrived just in time to attend otherwise ghoulish Halloween parties. Eventually what will happen is that every Walmart will turn into year-round Christmas shops like the ones you find in pretty tourist towns like Niagara-on-the-Lake.
